KD has some deep psych issues which I pray he gets help with...sometimes our past growing up doesn’t provide us with the coping life skills when you become rich and famous quickly...unlike Steph who had a supportive environment growing up, not a lot of the NBA players had the same opportunities..the WSJ report is very revealing.

Are we ever gonna talk seriously about the ring chase and how K.D. is an example of how not to do it? If he's such a basketball savant Chris then how come he didn't see that he wouldn't bea good fit on a 73 & 9 team that had already won a championship without him and had beaten him along the way? Would Jordan have gone to the Pistons Knicks or Celtics? Let's also talk about how he Lebron and Chris Bosh are precursors to what happened this free agency and stop glossing over it. No one wants to be the one to make the argument that that whole episode was disappointing, dishonorable and troubling and that's troubling in itself. What happened to truth in journalism, objectivity and candor. Makes ya long for the days of Howard Cosell. He would have said the truth and nothing but. Just look at the things he said about Ali, free agency in baseball, steroids, and Pete Rose. C'mon man.

The offence of Golden State made getting in his bag easy because the stars have a lot of gravity. I think he underestimates it. They could've won 3 championships if not for injury, yet the offensive strategy of GSW was a problem? I think he just needs to say he wanted a change and a chance to overcome a bit of adversity. Everything else sounds like a reach.

KD summed up: “I’m not as good as Lebron, EVERYONE knows it, and I can’t handle it.” The end. Why he thinks that joining that team that literally didn’t need him, who went to two straight Finals without him, winning one (due to Kyrie and Love being injured), and once beating his team which was up 3-1 on them, and riding their coat tails to two chips, while his numbers never jumped up significantly, should somehow make people think that he’s passed Lebron is absolutely baffling and inexplicable. KD, LEAD two different teams yourself to 8 straight Finals, teams who were not good until you got there, and then MAYBE we could consider thinking about you being even on the same ballpark as Lebron Co-GOAT James. And complaining about having to occasionally get your own shot while on the best 3 point shooting backcourt in league history??? Wow...

IDC who is on that golden state offense. That scheme can work for anyone who can shoot, move without the ball and has IQ. Three superstars or not. Three superstars that can create their own shot (KD & Klay much better in iso. Klay can score with the ball in his hands and doesn't just shine in catch and shoot moments or slipping around screens.) Makes it easier and even better. I love KD but he wylin with that comment lol

The offense stagnated after his first year there. When you expect most players to be getting more integrated, they allowed him to break out of the offense more consistently. Defensively, the team also dropped off a bit. So you had supporting players getting fewer touches and saw the impact that has on the other end as well as offensively. You could argue that was only bc their bench was weaker. This is true. But how much weaker was it bc the guys they had been developing forced their way out? Guys who had been pivotal when injuries arose before, but were now gone bc standing infront of the bench is no better than sitting on it? I'm glad GSW is broken up, but calling this bs 'truth' is just more bs.

4:15 ...what if you just flipped it....to where the outside people(fans, media, etc...) don't get, and KD does. KD feels like everyone else, and people don't want to hear it, because he is rich and famous. That's KD's point. He knows people feel this way, and he knows that he loves the game. He doesn't understand how people can't understand him.

After his comments, it's clear that KD hasn't found his true identity not only as an NBA player, but also as a person for quite some time now. There is literally no obvious reasonings behind everything he says. NONE.... He clearly made a decision without actually thinking about the consequences of it. He got excited about the organization and the winning culture without even thinking about how those things were gonna impact him as a player especially after losing to them in the finals just couple months before going them. Everybody knew that him going there was a bad move from the start. We all knew they were gonna win for sure, but we also knew that it wouldn't feel the same for him in particular. Draymond Green reminded him of that saying that "we won without you", but that also means that they built that winning culture without you. So, Draymond is technically not wrong for it. You can't join a winning team on any level acting like you the boss and start demanding the ball etc...That's when the reality check came for KD sadly. Now, he's gonna have live with it. I honestly blame his camp for this. Someone shoulda told him not join that team period....

@Cd Ad for every human being ever...an important decision isn't made based on 1 factor alone. I said it was a good move because at least he won 2 mvps....ultimately because of how good he is almost any move would be a good move, rings or not. it's a personal choice. He wasn't emotionally scarred in OKC before he made the move, he was accepted in okc. "If his decision was based on just winning, he woulda...". If it wasn't based on winning at all he would've went anywhere else that didn't already have a championship culture. He went there because it seemed like the perfect place for him. Also I honestly don't believe KD wants to be a leader, or is at least fine with not being one. I believe he just eats sleeps, and breathes basketball. "Now, he is gonna have to find ways to live with it." i think this statement is why a lot of fans are just at a disconnect with the players. The players are living their lives...KD has found ways to live with it...doesn't mean he likes it. People have the platform to spread their truth much more than they ever have before, and what's sad is that when people share it becomes a character assassination attempt almost every time someone tells their truth. Even well manored and intelectually honest fans(like you) have a hard time with it. KD isn't saying he wants to end his life because of all that he can't fulfill...he is just saying I'm here, and I don't feel much better than I did before, and it's mainly becuase of the attention and pressure on me. That's very understandable, but all people hear is a highly spoiled, underqualified for that type of money, over paid, highly sensitive, ungrateful, etc... person spewing nonsense. That's not the case though.

2 сарын өмнө
Cd Ad
Cd Ad

@thetrib1 I agree. The pressure and the outside noise are definitely a factor. That clearly explains all of his social media rants on twitter etc. Because of all of this, it is obvious that his decision to go the Warriors was purely based on emotions. That decision clearly didn't satisfy his emotions. If his decision was based on just winning, he woulda been all about business the minute he spoke to the media when he was introduced as Warrior. If you go back and listen to it, it was all about how great everybody was, how comfortable they made him feel etc... You can't deny that this all emotions right there. And with those comments he just made, you can tell that he didn't feel like his emotions were protected overall from that decision. He learned that throughout his time there he wasn't gonna be on the same platform as everyone else. So to me, that shows that his reasonings or reasons behind him deciding to go a winning team, a team that beat him in the finals just couple months prior make 0 sense. You can't go to a winning team, culture and organization and expect people to just accept you. You gotta go in, work hard and find ways to fit in within the culture, earn everyones respect and ultimately become a leader on your team. Be on a winning, fun environment and culture is something you build and the Warriors did it before he got there. He thought they saw him as a leader and he also thought that he was gonna be a leader automatically. Now, he is gonna have to find ways to live with it.

Him going to Golden State was a good move. either way he wouldn't have gotten much from the last three years whether he stayed in OKC, went to Golden State, or anywhere else. his problem is external. He wanted to win a ring because of the outside noise. The problem is is that he knew he was already good enough! public pressure is difficult for any one, but when it's at the level of a Kevin Durant...it would be hard to sleep most nights without feeling or hearing any of it. outside of basketball KD is KD. He is true to himself...problem is is that he isn't anonymous so his way of doing things is the wrong way in many outsiders eyes. KD nor his camp are in the wrong...it's societal pressure that's in the "wrong". KD will be ok, he just needs time like everyone else to figure it out.
